Jet Plasma works by creating a controlled stream of ionized gas, or plasma, that interacts with the surface of the skin.

When the plasma meets the skin, it produces active molecules called reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS). These molecules act as signals that can stimulate the skin's natural biological processes.

What happens to the skin?

1. It activates the skin's natural response
The plasma creates controlled cellular signals that encourage the skin to begin its natural repair and renewal processes.

2. It supports collagen production
These signals can influence fibroblasts—the cells responsible for producing collagen and other components of the skin's support structure. Over time, this can help improve the appearance of firmness, texture, and fine lines.

3. It supports circulation and healing
Plasma can influence blood flow and cellular activity, processes that are important for tissue repair and regeneration. Research has also shown potential benefits for wound healing. 

4. It can improve skin permeability
The electrical effects of plasma can temporarily affect the skin's outer barrier, allowing certain active ingredients to move more effectively into the skin. 

5. It helps create a healthier environment for the skin
The reactive species produced by plasma can also have antimicrobial effects, which is one reason cold plasma has been studied extensively in dermatology and wound care.

Why is it called cold plasma?

Despite using electrical energy to create plasma, Cold Atmospheric Plasma operates at or near room temperature. This allows plasma to interact with living tissue without relying on the high heat used by traditional plasma-based technologies.

In simple terms, Jet Plasma doesn't work by burning or removing the skin. It works by using controlled plasma energy to communicate with and stimulate the skin's natural renewal processes.

 Jet Plasma can temporarily increase skin permeability, helping carefully selected active ingredients penetrate more effectively than they would with topical application alone.

Because the skin is more receptive immediately after treatment, professional-grade, high-quality products are important. Products should be selected based on each client's individual skin type and needs, while avoiding harsh or irritating ingredients that could cause sensitivity.

Collagen regeneration can continue for 6–8 weeks, with final results typically becoming visible 2–3 months after completing a treatment series. Some clients may continue to see improvement for several months afterward.

For optimal results, we typically recommend a series of 2–6 treatments, with at least one week between sessions. Your provider will recommend the treatment plan that best fits your skin and goals.

Results can last 2–4 years, depending on factors such as age, genetics, lifestyle, and sun exposure. 

Periodic maintenance treatments can help support longer-lasting results.
